HOST Editing Made Simple

Editing the HOSTS file in Windows 7 & 8

In the event you need to edit the HOSTS file and are unable to do so 
it may be due to the "permissions" preventing you from editing the file.

1. Right click the Hosts file and select > Properties

2. Click the Security tab

3. Highlight (Select) your user account in the list & click Edit button.

4. Select (place a check in) Full control & Click Apply

5. Press Yes to confirm the changes & click OK.
