HOST FILE LOCATION IN WINDOWS XP, VISTA, 7 & 8
1. Start> Run> type C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
2. Then Enter or click on OK

(USE THIS METHOD ONLY IF YOU HAVE GAIN CONTROL TO MODIFY HOSTS FILE)
START > RUN > type the following text or copy paste in run and click enter:
notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\
